One Last Time

By:Sarah Wood

In his arms, embraced one final time

I can call him completely mine

Long sighs, slow the breath

The atmosphere is silent as death

Phased out, he's the only thing that matters

I don't care what anyone else gathers

Just him and me, and we're near the end

I so wish his feelings I could bend

Nevertheless, he forgets the past

Our first kiss may be our last

Our lips embrace if only for a second

It was happy and full of hope, I reckoned

Then later, when I'm contented at home

I receive a message, telling me he wants to be alone

Forget the love, we'll just be friends

What you say and what you do, a confusing signal sends

Do you really love me, did you ever?

This is twice you have made my heart sever

No matter what though, I will never forget

The first time our lips met.
